FOXBORO conductivity electrode 871EC series introduction

Type 871EC electrodeless conductivity sensors, together with a variety of supported sensor accessories, provide fouling-resistant measurements in most types of process liquids. Years of continuous operation and meaningful indication of solution conductivity will be realized due to the electrode-free technology and innovative sensor design.

The 871EC sensor can be used with the 875EC Smart Analyzer, 870ITEC Smart Transmitter, 873EC and 873AEC Analyzers, and 870EC Transmitter. The sensors are available in a variety of configurations and materials suitable for a wide range of conditions.

The sensors measure the induced current in the solution loop. They obtain designs that include two or three toroidal winding coils encapsulated in the sensor that are submerged in the solution. An AC signal applied to one of the toroidal coils induces a current in the second coil that is proportional to the conductivity of the solution.
