Like other PowerFlex 520 Series drives, the 25B-D1P4N104 PowerFlex drive offers flexible configuration options. Configuration options available for the 25B-D1P4N104 PowerFlex drive include an Integral RS4/DSI communication card, an embedded EtherNet/IP port (only for 525 drives) provides easy configuration and control of drive data through the network, and its dual-port EtherNet/IP option card supports Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies which enables the drive to handle faults with ease. The position control capabilities of the 25B-D1P4N104 PowerFlex drive include closed-loop feedback, PointStop for stopping motor load with consistent positioning without encoder feedback, and point-to-point positioning. It relies on an integral brake transistor to provide dynamic braking with low-cost brake resistors and it provides enhanced inertia ride through to mitigate the effects of low voltage. The features of selectable 1/2 line voltage operation and 1/2 DC Bus operation allow it to be used without problems in brownouts or and low-voltage conditions.
