The IC693MDL740 is a module of the GE Fanuc Series 90 - 30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). It is a Positive Logic Output module, which means it sources current to the connected loads from the module common or positive power bus. This module consists of two groups, each containing eight channels. Each channel has a load rating of 0.5 Ampere.
On the top of the IC693MDL740 module, there are front - panel LED indicators. These LEDs separately indicate the actuated state of each channel within the module as well as the operational state of the module. As a sourcing output module, each of its channels can energize common electrical loads, such as contactors, relays, pilot lamps, buzzers, horns, and other D24 VDC - powered devices. This module does not have internal fusing. Therefore, to provide additional protection, external fuses can be installed.
The IC693MDL740 can be installed in any available slot of either a 5 - slot or 10 - slot Series 90 - 30 baseplate. The number of module instances may vary as long as the controller has enough memory to accommodate this 16 - point output module.
