performance features
Intrinsically safe Ex i design, very compact design, high vibration resistance and fast response time
With direct sensor output (Pt100, Pt1000 in 2-, 3- or 4-wire connection) or integrated measuring transducer with output signal 4 ... 20 mA
Individually parameterizable with integrated transmitter using free PC configuration software WIKAsoft-TT
Sensor element with accuracy class A according to IEC 60751
Resistance thermometers of this series are used as universal thermometers for measuring liquid and gaseous media in the range -50 ... +250 °C [-58 ... +482 °F]. The devices are intrinsically safe for use in potentially explosive areas.
They can be used for pressures up to 140 bar [2,030 psi] with a sensor diameter of 3 mm [0.12 in] and up to 270 bar [3,916 psi] with a sensor diameter of 6 mm [0.24 in], depending on the device version. All electrical components are protected against moisture (IP67 or IP69K) and are vibration-proof (20 g, depending on the device version).
The resistance thermometer is available with a direct sensor output or an integrated measuring transducer, which can be individually parameterized using the WIKAsoft-TT PC configuration software. Measuring range, damping, error signaling according to NAMUR NE 043 and TAG number are adjustable.
Installation length, process connection, sensor and circuit type can be selected for the respective application according to the ordering information. The resistance thermometer type TR34 consists of a multi-part protective tube with a fixed process connection and is screwed directly into the process. The electrical contact is made using a round plug M12 x 1. An adapter for contacting with an angle plug in accordance with DIN EN 175301-803 is optionally available (patent, property right: 001370985).
