The Allen-Bradley 1756-M08SEG is a SERCOS interface module that can connect to SERCOS interface drives that are Extended Pack Profile compliant. It has 8 available axes but you can only use the AXIS_GENERIC_DRIVE data type for it. A maximum of 32 axes can be used in a single controller. You can only control the drives in position mode and it has LED SERCOS ring status indicators that let you monitor its current status.

The 1756-M08SEG module has two available SERCOS data rates, which are 4 Mbps and 8 Mbps. At 4 Mbps, the SERCOS cycle time is 0.5 ms for up to 2 drives (exclusive to Kinetix 6000 drives), 1 ms for up to 4 drives, and 2 ms for up to 8 drives. The SERCOS cycle time at 8 Mbps is 0.5 ms for up to 4 drives (also exclusive to Kinetix 6000 drives), 1 ms for up to 8 drives, and 2 ms for up to 16 drives.
This module has a backplane current of 760 mA at 5V DC and 2.5 mA at 24V DC. It also has a power dissipation of 5.1 W. It operates at a temperature between 0 to 60 Degrees Celsius. It can be stored at a temperature between -40 to 85 Degrees Celsius. The 1756-M08SEG module also has a non-condensing relative humidity of 5% to 95%. It also has a vibration of 2 g at 10 to 500 Hz, an operating shock of 30 g, and a non-operating shock of 50 g.
