The 1756-CJC ControlLogix Thermocouple Sensor Kit by Allen-Bradley is a Cold Junction Compensation Thermistor with 2 jumpers and it is used with the 1756-IRT8I or the 1756-IT16 module. The cold compensation thermistor is a temperature-dependent resistor used when temperature correction is required in Thermocouple Analog input modules.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-CJC is a ControlLogix Cold Junction Compensation Kit.

The 1756-CJC provides the user with sensors that are compatible with the 1756-IRT88I and the 1756-IT16 Analog Modules. This 1756-CJC accessory is primarily used when these modules are in thermocouple mode because the modules lack the necessary CJC sensor on their own. The 1756-CJC is used for temperature correction and improves the overall accuracy of thermocouple reading. The ControlLogix 1765-CJC Cold Junction Compensation Kit is required if the channel wiring for the module is connected via an RTB.
