The 1719-TB8XS is a terminal block module from the 1719 Ex I/O module series that is designed and produced by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. These modules are extremely safe and they serve as reliable I/O platforms. The users can choose to mount the 1719 module in a Zone 2 or Class I (Division 2) area. The 1719 terminal blocks such as the 1719-TB8XS are wired directly to the devices in the field and they must be firmly attached to the front sockets of the I/O modules with the use of supplied screws. Some terminal blocks are provided as side screw terminal variants, front screw terminal variants, or spring terminal variants. These modules are made in small housings and they provide maximum efficiency in confined areas and hazardous areas. The 1719 modules have an I/O design based on the chassis and they enable the integration of devices in hazardous areas through the EtherNet/IP protocol. The 1719 modules are integrated perfectly into the existing architecture of the system so their configuration can be done in just a couple of easy steps.
