The 1719-IT4B is a dependable Allen-Bradley Ex I/O thermocouple input module that comes with 4 channels. This module, which belongs to the Bulletin 1719 Ex series, can operate at a voltage rating of 12 Volts DC. The 1719-IT4B is equipped with an unshielded wire that is between 0.14 and 1.5 millimeters squared. This 4-channel module is ideal for use in industrial environments as well as in time-critical applications. The 1719-IT4B provides for intrinsically safe I/O that satisfy industrial application requirements (i.e. those certified for Zone 2 and Class I, Division 2 mounting areas). The 1719-IT4B comes with an integrated architecture system that simplifies configuration. The 1719-IT4B offers a compact chassis input design. It is also important to note that the chassis houses the 1719-IT4B power supply.

The design also includes a DLR adapter as well as an optional power supply-based redundancy feature. The unit offers HART 7 support which can support almost all analog modules. The 1719-IT4B can be used as a converter for thermocouples and mV-signals. The supply circuit of this Allen-Bradley module is 15 Volts or 20 milliamps. The 1719-IT4B comes with a HART communication and it is permanently self-monitoring. The unit can be exchanged under voltage, especially in non-hazardous areas. This module, which provides intrinsically safe input, has a DLR network that can support copper, fiber optic, or a mixture of copper and fiber-optic connections. The 1719-IT4B offers a ring topology which offers advantages such as media redundancy, resiliency when it comes to a single-fault-tolerant network, and fast network-based fault detection as well as reconfiguration. To prevent damaging the module’s adaptor, ensure that all the Ethernet cables are connected before powering the adaptor. Also, do not disconnect the Ethernet cables when the adapter is online.
