The 1719-IJ is an intrinsically safe distributed I/O platform. It has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It comes from the Bulletin series of devices made by Allen-Bradley. It is a single-channel device and it is a frequency counter module. It has a rated voltage of 12 Volts DC. It accepts digital input signals from the NAMUR sensors or from the mechanical contacts. The 1719-IJ comes with a digital input of maximum 15 Kilohertz. It takes input for the frequency, counter, and the direction of the rotation. This module can be mounted in both vertical and horizontal ways in Zone 2 environments. The 1719-IJ module comes with various sensors. It has an internal resistance of 1 Kilo Ohm. It also has LED indicators which show different information. The green LED is for a supply fault and the red is for a line fault.
