HOG204 Optical Network Unit HOG204 E RFoG ONU with Protective Earth Article number 695005589

The HOG204 Optical Network Unit is designed to support FTTH and FTTB build networks. The transceiver has one combined optical in/output (WDM), the ONU is provided with 2 pairs of output ports, one pair downstream only and one pair upstream and downstream capable including DOCSIS 3.1 support. The optical Automatic Gain Control keeps the output level constant independent from the optical input power. Output level, mute and other functions are controlled and activated by the most advanced CPU.Over the USB port several settings can be configured during installation and configuration by the RFoG-specialist. Return path signals transmission is achieved by a fixed laser module.

Features of HOG204 Optical Network Unit

  • Automatic change Upstream frequency range for Docsis 3.0 to Docsis 3.1 migration without truck rolls, switchover initiated by intelligent automated detection

  • Ready to support plugin MoCA unit for Gigabit home network over coax, powered from HOG to simplify installation

  • Designed for MoCA high D band to allow coexistance with Docsis 3.1 networks

  • Integrated very efficient and reliable power supply

  • When combined with SPARK multi diode receiver, HOG provides performance monitoring data to the SPARK without any additional configuration or additional equipment, free of charge

  • 4 outputs to connect multiple devices in home without additional splitters or tabs. 2 ports designed for Docsis use to support a Cable Modem combined with Docsis based Setop Boxes

  • Esthetic design, optimized for quick installation

The Optical Network Unit is equipped with a single wavelength 1610nm, single longitudinal mode, distributed feedback laser (DFB).The HOG204 can be remotely managed when connected via the SPARK series regarding its general parameters on levels and operations. The HOG204 comes with integrated power and RF- management and connection for external or "clickable" MoCA® enabled devices. This MoCA® traffic is available on all four output ports. Allowing internet service over the coax without DOCSIS.
